Peddler’s Village – About half an hour’s drive to Lahaska, this unique collection of quaint shops and restaurants deserves a day of its own on your schedule. An 18th-century countryside complex, featuring over 70 shops, eight restaurants, landscaped gardens and year-round festivals and craft shows. Quakertown Farmer’s Market – Known locally as “Q-Mart,” it’s a year-round mix of produce and flea markets, including indoor and outdoor merchandise booths, antique shops and all sorts of restaurants, delicatessens and snack stands. More than 150 farmers and a flea market. Open Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m-9 p.m.; Sunday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Another place you can spend an hour or a day, depending on your tastes.
