County Theater – Located in nearby Doylestown, the County is beloved
as one of a precious few remaining hometown art-deco movie theaters, committed
to art house films and other out-of-the-mainstream fare. Sitting proudly
at 20 East State Street, the County was originally built in 1938 at the
depths of the Great Depression, providing a few hours’ escape from
the dullness of grinding poverty for those lucky enough to afford admission.

Fonthill Museum – The concrete castle home of eccentric Henry Mercer boasts 44 rooms,
18 fireplaces and more than 200 windows. Its walls, floors and ceilings
are elaborately adorned with an incredible array of Mercer’s original
handcrafted tiles. Recently featured on A&E’s “American Castles.”

Mercer Museum – This towering castle houses dramatic displays
of the implements, folk art and furnishings of early America before mechanization,
including 40,000 tools of more than 60 early American crafts and trades.

Moravian Pottery & Tile Works – This National Historic Landmark and working history museum is a must see. Built by Henry Mercer adjacent to his Fonthill home, visitors are welcome to explore the decorative tiles and mosaics that adorn the walls and to watch how the tiles are fired.
