Plumsteadville Inn – Established in 1751 as a stage coach stop between Philadelphia and Easton; then a railroad stop over for the same route in 1904. The Inn features hard-wood floors, plaster walls, fireplaces and a late 19th century restored Steinway Grand Piano. Mueller’s Kitchen – The stop of the locals and our new “go to” . The entrance seats men wearing tractor and building supply caps drinking coffee sitting on their perches at the long counter and ten or so small tables. The middle is the main restaurant and the back area is the general store where groceries, deli items, snacks, baked goods, tobacco, Slim Jims, lottery tickets fishing gear, bait and take-out beer is sold.
A pretty comfy feeling whichever component of the establishment you’re in. Welcome! The place is as simplistic and friendly as it gets. Having a full liquor license, you can get a beer, glass of wine or a spirit at a table or the counter. And dinners are served Wednesdays through Sundays – soups, salads, burgers, sandwiches, entrees that include meatloaf, chicken croquettes, turkey with mashed potatoes, smoked brisket/ribs/chicken and fried seafood are a sampling of the faire.
